PJM - 2 manual, 14 rank
When
the organ committee of Falkner Swamp Reformed Church of
Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania ecided to replace their 1920's
Tellers they challenged us to create a more flexible specification
than the previous ten ranks that could still be housed
in the existing space.
The end result was a very flexible unit design that judiciously
draws it's resources from fourteen ranks including a three-rank
mixture and full-length 16' Contra Trumpet. The instrument
is enclosed in a striking case, restored from one of the
church's earlier instruments, a 19th century Krauss. Using
the shell of the existing console, the relays, switching
and combination action were replaced using the Matters
solid state system. Provisions were also included at the
console for MIDI interface, transposer, and record/playback
capabilities. New electric action windchests were constructed
in our shops to fit the existing case.
The resulting organ is an instrument that will play a
broad range of the organ literature as well as accompanying
a variery of music styles. All stops are enclosed unless
otherwise specified.
